All those involved in any aspect of drug analysis are cordially invited to participate actively by means of submitting abstracts either for oral or poster presentation.

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts on-line for peer review and publication in the RDPA 2009 Special Issue of the
Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis.

The deadline for on-line submission is October 20th, 2009.

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
A limited number of oral communications will be scheduled for a maximum of 20 min (including discussion).
Facilities for video projector with PC (Power Point for Windows) and overhead transparencies will be provided.
No facilities for projection of standard slides will be available.


POSTER PRESENTATIONS
  • Poster presentations will carry equivalent scientific status to oral communications in the program
  • Posters will be displayed on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th
  • Authors must be present to discuss their work during all break periods.
  • Posters will be mounted at allocated positions.
  • Poster space is nominally 80 cm wide and 120 cm high (portrait format).
  • Posters must be attached by double-sided tape (the tape will be available at the secretariat desk).


ABSTRACTS SUBMISSION

Abstracts should be submitted by JUNE 15th, 2009
as e-mail attachments (Word file) to the address: scientific@rdpa2009.com
  • All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by a scientific review committee.
  • Abstracts accepted for publication will be printed as submitted in the Symposium Abstract Book.
  • The Organizers cannot guarantee that abstracts received after the above mentioned deadline (June 15th, 2009) will be published in the Abstract Book.
  • Acceptance notification will take place according to the arrival order and from June 30th, 2009.
  • We remind you that at least the presenting Author must be registered before June 15th, to confirm participation.
  • After this deadline, abstracts could not be printed in the Abstract Book.

The abstract format to be used is as follows:

  • All Abstracts should be in English.
  • The text (one page, justified) of an abstract should contain no more than 2,800 characters (with spaces) and should be exactly 15 cm wide and at most 21 cm high (A4 format with: 3cm margins at the top, left and right - 5,7cm margin at the bottom).
  • No frame.
  • Abstract should be typed with single-spacing, in 12 points “Times New Roman” font.
  • The title should be in 12 points BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • One line of space should be left between the title and the authors’ names and affiliation, between the affiliation and the text, and between the text and the references.
  • Authors’ names should be with initial(s) only before the family name, without titles, with the presenting author underlined.
  • Authors’ affiliation should be given, if necessary, with superscript numbering.
  • In their covering message, Authors should indicate their preference for poster or oral presentation(s).
  • However, as only a limited number of oral communications can be accepted, Authors may be asked to change their proposal and present their work as a poster.
